12

Sweet entropy
The years will eat away my beauty
And then, vanity lost
I’ll slide by on my wit alone
Bursting fat, disgusting at the seams
Entrails round my neck
Eyes like window reflections of supermarkets
my pretty mouth turned decrepit in a permanent frown
Hacking up my black lung I’ll snarl along
Caustically ruining everyone else’s fun
Living in the past an enhanced dream of what never was
Some pathetic phantom romance, some ideal love that made me this way
When really it was nothing
Nothing, nothing, sweet nuttin’
Sat there, looking at everything upside-down and black
And did nothing
